Manna Bread and Fruit Bowl

Healthy eating doesn’t always have to be time consuming.  Overall it WILL take more time than putting something in the microwave and pushing some buttons.  But that doesn’t mean you have to spend hours in the kitchen every day.  One of our favourite breakfasts is literally as simple as 1-2-3.  Manna bread is a sprouted grain bread and therefore easy to digest.  It’s very time consuming to make, but the good news is, you can find it in the Natural section of the grocery store (in the freezer).

  • 1 loaf of Manna bread broken into pieces in a bowl
  • Frozen or fresh berries of your choice
  • Plain yogurt/kefir or dairy alternative of your choice
  • Agave or maple syrup if you have a sweet tooth or are using tart berries

Break the manna bread up into bite size pieces in a portion of your liking. Top with a serving of berries. Add the yogurt/kefir in a portion that suits you. Drizzle with maple syrup or agave.

This is YUM-O!!!  The kids would eat this 3 times a day every day if I let them.  And the best part about this is that it will give you a healthy, nutritionally packed power punch to start your day.
