Kefir & Strawberry Shake

Here is a recipe that is pretty much a staple in our house. We make it several times a week and the kids have it for desert or breakfast. It’s very versatile and you can switch up the greens, or berries for whatever you have on hand.
- 2 cups organic Kefir
- 2 – 3 handfuls organic spinach
- 2 cups frozen organic strawberries
- 2-4 tbsp maple syrup (optional, if you prefer something more sweet)
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. You can add more kefir to thin it out or more frozen berries to thicken it. It’s also lovely frozen in popsicle moulds for a frozen treat.


Delicious! It’s just what I needed on this hot, hot day. Didn’t have any greens, but I did add cinnamon. Why have I never tried kefir before? It’s so good! I’ve been eating a lot of organic plain yogurt with pure maple syrup recently. Yum…
Kefir is AMAZING! It’s a super strong probiotic that is all you need to maintain high levels of good bacteria in your digestive system. It has seriously worked WONDERS for me! AND it’s safe for those who are lactose intolerant!
